i wore it
without thinking
it was comfy


when i went to college

another job
another t-shirt
another place
another t-shirt
marked my time
and who liked me enough
to get me a t-shirt


my mother saved my school t-shirts
gave them back recently
lots of memories
almost as small as the t-shirts


i don't remember
throwing away my college t-shirts
i don't remember

but i know they're not here anymore
where they once were
