To my coworker who can't stop talking about the twins she has growing inside her...

YOU'RE NOT THE FIRST PERSON ON THE PLANET TO HAVE FUCKING TWINS!!

SHUT THE FUCK UP, YOU MISERABLE WHORE!!

THIS ISN'T NEW SHIT AND NOBODY GIVES A FUCKING FUCK ABOUT THE PAIN YOU'RE IN!!

AND YOUR GODDAM SCIATIC NERVES ARE IN YOUR LOWER BACK, SO IT'S PHYSICALLY IMPOSSIBLE FOR YOU TO HAVE SCIATIC PAIN IN YOUR BREASTS AND YOUR BABY ISN'T GOING TO GET GODDAM SCIATICA IF HE BREAST FEEDS!!

YOU SHOULD BE SHOT WITH A GIANT-MAMMAL-SHOOTING GUN THAT SHOOTS GIANT MAMMALS LIKE WHALES AND ELEPHANTS AND YOU SHOULD BE KILLED BY A GIANT MAMMAL SHOT AT YOU FROM A GIANT-MAMMAL-SHOOTING GUN!!!

AAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!

GO FUCK YOURSELF INSIDE OUT UNTIL YOU EXPLODE!!!!!

I'm Off

I'm feeling a little off today.
I get this way often.
I can't concentrate on work... or anything else, for that matter.
My thoughts bounce around, never settling on one particular thing, not allowing me to focus.
I'm anxious about something.
Waiting for something to happen.
But nothing is going to happen.
Nothing is supposed to happen, but I'm waiting for it.
And I know how stupid it is to feel uptight like this, like I'm missing something or like I'm late for an appointment, but I can't seem to talk myself down from it.
Background noises quickly and easily distract me.
Random passing thoughts quickly and easily pull my attention away from work.
Even from typing this.
Getting my thoughts to calm down enough to be coherent is tough.
Getting my thoughts to come out through my fingers is tough.
Not quite a struggle... but almost.

I hate this feeling.
I haven't felt this way in a while.
I associate this with clinical anxiety.
I'm not certain that's what it is, but that's what I have in my head.
I also associate this feeling with -- court
-- my wife's mother
-- Bastard Ex-husband
-- lawyers
-- domestic disputes
-- my wife or boys being abused by any of the above
-- my boy's football games
-- school meetings where Bastard or wife's mother will be
-- my wife's text tone on her cell phone
(when I hear it, it's normally not me texting, but Bastard)
This feeling produces electricity in my heart and bones, along with electrical shocks in my spine.
My heart races.
My skin gets cold and sometimes goes numb.
My breathing becomes shallow.
My vision works, but nothing that I see really registers initially. It takes a few moments for me to realize what I'm seeing.

I hate this feeling.
I feel as if this is something that is beyond my control.
As if I will always have these physical and emotional symptoms as long as we're dealing with Bastard, Wife's Mother, court, lawyers, football, etc.
I know there are medications.
This feels beyond medication.
This feels unavoidable.
Something that must be.

And I hate it.

Welcome To First Grade!

Hello Children!

Welcome to your first day of first grade here at Money Elementary!

You might have wondered why we named our school after our currency rather than after a former president, as is usually the case in the public school environment, and the reason is that former presidents can't give us a new football stadium, new uniforms for the football team, DNA paternity tests for the football players and cheerleaders, footballs, scoreboards for the football team, a beer licence so we can sell beer at the football games, a lawyer to help defend why we're selling beer at elementary school football games, 35% of a football coach, and textbooks from when we still had slaves, many of whom became famous football players. No, children, former presidents can't give us any of those things, but money can, so we've named our school after that which we hope to elicit.

Now, as your parents might have told you, this school prepares you for the real world. We do our best to provide you with real world experiences so that, when you leave the protective umbrella of this school establishment, you will be better prepared to be a productive member of our society so that you can give repay the gift of the education we provide for you with a generous gift of cash or a starting lineman who will later give a generous gift of cash. To give you a real world experience, we're going to treat each and every one of you as if you were currently employed in this country and an active member in the workforce. With that in mind, we're not really going to train you for anything in particular. We're not going to give you any skills or provide you with any assistance in discovering what it is you will be doing here. When you make a mistake, we will tell you about it and write you up. Two write-ups will result in mandatory firing. Three write-ups and we reposes your parents' home and all your toys. This is what we call "incentive": you won't want to screw up, because if you do, you will be reminded over and over again about how worthless you really are.

A lot of people have criticized our program, saying that we should provide a safe place to make mistakes. Without mistakes, growth cannot be achieved. People need a safe environment in which they can grow and learn from their mistakes, as well as the mistakes of others. Children, the people who say these things are stupid. They work for places like libraries and fire departments, as well as teaching classes at your favorite football stadium, which some people call "a university". They, obviously, were not adequately prepared for the real world, which is why we won't be listening to them.

I am going to act as your boss from this moment forward, which means that I will be in my office, huffing White Out and masturbating with a stapler to an autographed picture of Donald Trump. If you actually observe any of these things, you will be inserted into a camel and placed in Iran.

i scream

sounds pass through my ears
some hit, some slide
doctors waltz by without concern
leaving holes for my voices

and i scream inside me
i'm screaming at you
and i scream inside me
inside me screaming at you

militant moms and dads
pounding on their sons and feet
negligence sits next to you
and there's nothing i can do

and i scream inside me
i'm screaming at all
i scream scream inside me
inside me scream at the world

don't push me -- better step off
don't push me -- take a step back
don't push me, or inside will come out
and snap you in half

and i scream inside me
i scream, i scream
keep yourself in check
cuz the guy behind you
might be ready to rage
in the meantime
i scream

Earthquakes And The Book of Revelation

There have been some earthquakes where I live recently.

We don't normally get earthquakes here and people kinda freaked out about it. They got scared and talked about it for days after.

One of my coworkers said that, after she had experienced the (minor) earthquake (resulting in no damage to anyone or anything that I know personally), she got on the phone to her husband, and he told her to read the book of Revelation from The Bible. She said that he was not joking. He was serious that she should read Revelation.

One of my students on Facebook, after the earthquake, posted that we should all read our Bibles.

So let's take all emotion out of these statements and take a look at what's being said:
There is an emergency situation which has happened and some action is required.
If your first response to this emergency situation is to read an instruction manual about how to handle the emergency situation, you're pretty much screwed.
For example, if your submarine gets hit by a torpedo and your first response is to go and get the manual about what to do when your submarine gets hit by a torpedo... you've already drowned.
And the Book of Revelation isn't even an instruction manual! It's supposed to be a telling of the end of the world. So, technically, if you believe that the earthquakes are a sign that the end of the world is here, reading the Book of Revelation will really only tell you about what you're currently experiencing! It's a story about what's happening now! Personally, I'd rather open a window and see what's happening around me. But that's just me. I like to actually experience life until I'm not allowed to anymore. I'm more of a thinker than a reader.

I Didn't Make A Mistake, Butt It's Time To Change

I've been toying with the idea that I made a mistake when I stopped performing.

I've recently decided that I want to perform again. In any capacity, really. And sometimes I find myself going to websites where I can see what old acquaintances are doing, what shows old friends are in, how people I know are still doing what it is I would like to be doing. I saw a website today where one of my old students is currently in a job that I once thought had been taken from me unjustly. It was a shocker, especially since I didn't see great talent in my former student, and there was his face on the website where I imagined my own face would go one day.

But I didn't feel anger or remorse or sadness. Just shocked to see his face there.

And then, I kinda felt happy for him. Way to go. Way to hunt it down and get it.

Because he didn't decide to stop performing. I did.
I made the choice to stop.
And I chose that because it wasn't fun anymore.
I didn't like what was happening around me.
I didn't like many of the people I had to work with.
I was not happy with the situation.
And, just like I had done so many mornings, I woke up and asked myself if there was anything other than performing that would make me happy.
And the answer, for the first time, was yes.
So I stopped performing.

And as I've looked back on that choice, I've thought a lot about how it was a mistake.
I miss it.
I want to do it again.
I'm built for it.
I'm good at it.
But something hasn't felt right about that whole "mistake" thing.
I got to get married to the woman I was supposed to marry all my life.
And, although I can't say for certain that I wouldn't have done that had I not stopped performing, the choices I made certainly helped speed along my marriage.
And that is not a mistake.
That is a choice I would make over and over again without hesitation.

So how could it be a mistake to stop performing when something profoundly joyous and life-changing happened as a result?

Here's my answer.
At least, this is my answer for today.

It wasn't a mistake.

I made the right choice then. I got out on my own terms before I murdered some assholes. Before I killed myself. Before I got some disease. Before... whatever. Fill in the blank. I got out. I moved. I found something else. I tried it. I didn't like it. I tried something else. I didn't like that, either. And my thoughts keep taking me back to the stage. To the film. To the audience. To that work. THAT'S where I want to be. And having gotten out of it, I might be able to navigate it a little more to my liking this time around.

Plus, I've got a really great friend that I didn't have before. And she promised to stick with me and help me out. That, too, helps.

So, where am I right now?
I'm at my day job.
I'm not working, again.
Because I'm thinking about what I'd rather be doing, again.
Writing my screenplay.
Shooting my screenplay.
Editing my screenplay.
Composing music for my movie.
Copyrighting my movie.
Entering my movie in film festivals.
Watching other people get moved and be entertained by my movie.
Do it all over again.

I didn't make a mistake.
I made the right choice.
And now, it's time to make some more right choices.

Sick Coccyx

My coccyx hurts like a beeyach!!

Pretty sure it came from sitting on a hard chair for 92 minutes.

An Email Response from Senator Tom Coburn (R) - OK

On November 1, 2011, I wrote an email to some senators. The entire email is contained on this blog. On November 4, 2011, I received this email response from Oklahoma Senator Tom Coburn (R).

Dear Friend: Thank you for taking the time to write me. I have received your letter and I value your input, which is why I will personally read your letter. Please allow me time to review your correspondence to ensure you receive an accurate, detailed and thoughtful response to your inquiry. It may take at least 30 days or as many as 60 days to reply due to the heavy volume of mail that I receive. I appreciate your patience as you await my response. If this matter is time sensitive, please contact my office at (202)224-5754 and my staff is ready and happy to assist you. Sincerely, Tom Coburn, M.D. U.S. Senator

I did not send a letter. I sent an email. Senators make a starting salary of $174,000 annually when they are first elected. Every year, members of congress get an automatic Cost of Living Adjustment (COLA), unless they vote it down, which adjusts their pay according to inflation. In June of 2003, at least 40 of the then-senators were millionaires. This money comes from your taxes. Senators worked 151 days in 2001 (about 5 months), and they were scheduled to meet 137 days in 2009 (about 4 1/2 months).

Marie Curie's 144th Birthday

Today is Marie Curie's 144th birthday.

She married the love of her life, scientific and laboratory partner; she won the Nobel Prize in Physics in 1903, and the Nobel Prize in Chemistry in 1911, making her the first person to win two Nobel Prizes; she was a pioneer in the field of radiation, paving the way for both atomic weapons and fighting cancer; she survived her husband's death after he was run over by a horse-drawn carriage and his skull was fractured.

My first thought after reading all of this was, "I wonder how often she did it with her husband and if she liked suckin' dick?"

Happy Birthday, Madame Curie!

Grant and The Giant

The Giant never stopped urinating on The Village.

It's a bit unusual that any creature could maintain a continuous stream of urine for so long, but The Giant was able to. He never moved. He stayed planted, towering over The Village, raining urine down upon them. At one point, he knew why he was doing it, but now, he couldn't really remember. And he didn't really care.

The Villagers had become accustomed to the urine rain. They had invested in umbrellas and slickers and other urine-resistant and deodorizing products. One of the local retailers had an annual "Slicker-Off!", a competition centered around slickers -- who had the best slicker, who had the driest slicker, who could put on and take off their slicker the most in a minute, who's slicker had the biggest titties.

Grant often found himself thinking about The Giant with disgust. He didn't like being urinated on all the time. He looked up, and got urine in his eyes and mouth. "It's all about where you choose to focus," his mother would tell him. "When you focus on the ground, do you get urine in your eyes and mouth?" Grant looked at the ground often, but there was still the occasional run-off urine that fell into his eyes and mouth. He knew his mother was trying to help him, but it didn't take his mind off The Giant and Grant's anger and frustration. Grant's wife hugged him and said things like, "I don't want to feel anger over being urinated on anymore, so I'm going to focus on what I am ABLE to do, rather than what I'm UNABLE to do. I'm able to support you and love our children." Grant was immeasurably grateful for a wife who put up with his ridiculousities. But Grant found himself drawn to the stream of urine that covered The Village. He wanted to do something. He wanted to change the world for the better. And he felt sad and frustrated because he didn't know WHAT he could do.

He believed in the power of one person. He believed that the strength of one person could make a difference. On good days, after he had gotten some sleep and had actually eaten some protein and leafy greens, he believed in the power of himself.

So Grant decided that he was going to travel to The Giant and cut off his dick.

Now you get to decide how the story ends! Choose one of the following endings!

  1. Grant hiked towards The Giant and died from exposure before he reached the second week of his journey.

  2. Grant hiked towards The Giant, and all The Villagers laughed and taunted his folly, and one of them threw a rock at his head and killed him dead.

  3. Grant hiked towards The Giant for four months, and when he arrived, The Giant squished Grant underfoot like a bug.

  4. Grant hiked to The Giant, climbed up his leg and was squished between The Giant's thigh and left testicle like a bug underball.

  5. Grant hiked to The Giant, climbed up his leg, got to his dick, and The Giant scratched his nuts and flicked Grant into the forest, where Grant broke all his bones on all the trees he crashed into and died alone in the forest.

  6. Grant tried to drink as much beer as he could to forget about The Giant, but accidentally got some urine in his mouth, contracted hepatitis, and died yellow.

  7. Grant got frustrated and yelled and screamed and shouted and moaned and cried and got tired and went to sleep and got up and did the same thing, day after day, until he had no friends or family who would put up with him anymore because he was just no fun and continually reminded people of how they were getting pissed on.

  8. Grant .................................................................................................?

My Email To Both My Senators

I just talked with my wife. We're both tired of feeling angry. We both feel powerless. She's tired of fighting with our lawyer, whom we are paying, to fight for her right to claim just one of our two children on our yearly taxes. We both have no idea of how we can stop being beaten. It's sad that there is no help. I wanted to do something. Anything.

I just sent this email to both of my senators. I don't know if it will help, but I'm not certain what else to do. I'll post their response if I receive one. Please feel free to cut and paste this message into an email to your senator or congressman or woman. Maybe we can, at least, get some answers.

The United States currently is $14.9 trillion in debt. Exxon Mobil, Bank of America, General Electric, Chevron, Boeing, Valero Energy, Chevron and ConocoPhillips paid no taxes and received huge tax refunds. 55% of business in America do not pay taxes. My wife and I paid 10% of our income to the federal government last year. We make about $30,000 a year and have a hard time making ends meet. We receive no kind of government financial assistance, no tax breaks for either of our children, and make too much money to qualify for food stamps. You have signed the Taxpayer Protection Pledge, in which you promised not to raise taxes on businesses and corporations and oppose any net reduction or elimination of deductions and credits for businesses. Please explain how this decision is good for me, my family, the economy, or our nation.

Taxes And How You're Getting Screwed

Exxon Mobil made $19 Billion in PROFITS in 2009. They received $156 million in rebates after paying nothing in taxes.

Bank of America made $4.4 Billion in PROFITS in 2009. They received nearly $1 trillion in bailout cash from the Federal Reserve and the Treasury Department. They also received $1.9 Billion in refunds after paying no taxes.

General Electric has made $26 Billion in PROFITS over the past five years in the United States alone. They got $4.1 Billion in refunds after paying no taxes.

Chevron made $10 Billion in PROFITS in 2009. Paid no taxes. Got $19 million in tax refunds.

Boeing got $124 million in tax refunds. They paid nothing. Oh yeah, they also got a $30 Billion contract from the Pentagon to build 179 airborne tankers.

Valero Energy -- 25th largest company in America -- did $68 Billion in sales. Paid no taxes. Got $157 million back from the government. They also get $134 million in tax breaks and deductions over the past 3 years.

Goldman Sachs paid 1.1% of it's income in taxes in 2009, even though they earned $2.3 Billion in PROFITS and got almost $800 Billion from the Federal Reserve and the U.S. Treasury Department.

Citigroup made more than $4 Billion in PROFITS. Paid no taxes. Got $2.5 TRILLION in bailout funds from the Federal Reserve and the U.S. Treasury Department.

ConocoPhillips -- 5th largest oil company in the U.S. -- made $16 Billion in profits from 2007 to 2009, but received $451 in tax breaks though the oil and gas manufacturing deduction.

Carnival Cruise Lines made $11 Billion in PROFITS over the past five years. They only paid 1.1% in taxes over those five years.

In 2009, my wife and I filed our taxes jointly and paid $300 to the federal government. At that time, we made less than $30,000 a year. None of it was profit, as all of it needed to be spent on things needed to keep us alive, like food and shelter. Our tax rate, then, was over 10%. Carnival Cruise Lines made $11 Billion in profits and paid 1.1% in taxes. Goldman Sachs made $2.3 Billion in profits, got a government bailout, and paid 1.1% in taxes. My wife and I made no profits and paid more than 10% in taxes. We also make too much money to qualify for food stamps.

If you paid any taxes in 2009 -- even $1 -- you paid more in taxes than Exxon Mobil, Bank of America, General Electric, Chevron, Boeing, Valero Energy, Citigroup and ConocoPhillips combined.

With these companies doing so well, I wonder why our economy is doing so poorly? I mean, we keep being told that if these companies don't rake in these kinds of profits, then our country will see job losses and economic hardships... kinda like what we're seeing now...? I wonder why we don't have any new jobs from these so-called "Job Creators"? Could it be that the line about large corporations being "Job Creators" and keeping our country's economy afloat is a load of horseshit concocted by the people who are benefiting most from this legal kind of corporate theft? I think so.

Source for the above: http://blogs.suntimes.com/sweet/2011/03/ten_giant_us_companies_avoidin.html
(well... except for that last paragraph. That's all me, baby.)

Here's something else to ponder. According to The New York Times (http://www.nytimes.com/2011/05/03/business/economy/03rates.html), America has one of the highest corporate income tax rates in the world at 35%. However, because of breaks and loopholes, around 55% of U.S. companies pay no federal income tax.

Here's a comprehensive list of the 238 Representatives and 41 Senators who have signed a pledge to "oppose any and all efforts to increase the marginal income tax rate for individuals AND BUSINESSES," and "oppose any net reduction or elimination of deductions and credits, unless matched dollar for dollar by further reducing tax rates."

I guess these guys think things are ok with the way my wife and I are paying the government 10% of our income and make too much to qualify for food stamps, and 55% of corporate businesses pay nothing.

I think it's time to write a letter or two.

Happy One Day

Happy One Day, everybody!

Today is November 1, 2011.
Shortened, it's 11/1/11.
All ones!
It's One Day!

Incidentally, I created One Day, so if you hear anybody else say that, they owe me a quarter.
